CONTEXT OF THE GAME 

The story of the game is about ANABEL, an old catholic woman who lives in the surrondings of PENDLE HILL, in the north of ENGLAND, beginning century XVII. An age when the catholicism was hated and y oppresses. A uncertain, superstitious age, where the church, laws and kings, like JACOBO I with his DAEMONOLOGIE, encourage to discover, pursue, and destroy all man or woman with any connection with the witchcraft.

After the death of her daughter and her son-in-law because illness, the elder have to take care of her grand-daughter working hardly at the family farm.

Her grand-daughter, ÁNGELA, is a young girl with a rare gift that hide distrustfully, but finally they decided to share with the people that needs it, because ÁNGELA request it to ANABEL, instead the danger that could suppose. It’s her hands. Can Health.

Although their lifes are hard, with neighbors and friends help, ANABEL and ÁNGELA are happy with the gifts that GOD offers and with the things their offer to HIM and to the community.

The game begin when ANABEL come back home after a short trip made to assist some far familiars problems, and ÁNGELA taking care of the farm meanwhile. But when ANABEL arrives she lives the worse nightmare. Something that will severely put her live and her FAITH in a hard proof.

(You will need a MSX emulator to run the game. I personally recommend BlueMSX or OpenMSX).

CONTEXTO DEL JUEGO 

La historia que nos ocupa es la de ANABEL, una anciana católica que vive en los alrededores de PENDLE HILL, al norte de INGLATERRA, a principios del siglo XVII. Una época en la que el catolicismo era denostado y oprimido. Una época incierta, supersticiosa, donde iglesia, leyes y reyes, como JACOBO I con su DAEMONOLOGIE, alientan al descubrimiento, persecución y destrucción de todo aquel que tenga algo que ver con la brujería.

Tras la muerte de su hija y el marido de su hija por enfermedad (¿gripe?,¿peste?) la anciana se tiene que ocupar de su nieta trabajando duramente en la granja familiar.

Su nieta se llama ÁNGELA, es una chica joven con un extraño don que ocultan con recelo, pero que al final deciden compartir con quien lo necesita a petición de la propia ÁNGELA, a pesar del posible peligro que eso implica. Son sus manos. Sanan.

Y aunque la vida es difícil, con la ayuda de vecinos y amigos, ANABEL y ÁNGELA son felices con lo que DIOS les ofrece y con lo que ellas pueden ofrecer a ÉL y a su comunidad.

El juego comienza cuando ANABEL vuelve a casa tras un pequeño viaje para ayudar a unos familiares lejanos, dejando a ÁNGELA ocupandose de la granja. Pero al llegar se encuentra con la peor de sus pesadillas, algo que pondrá su vida y su FE a prueba.
